Being found is no longer just about Google.

Half the time your buyer never clicks anything. They get an answer, assembled by a tool, from sources you didn’t choose. Search visibility now means both.

You still rank. It just isn’t bringing in enquiries.

The rules changed and nobody told you. Now you’re being asked about AI search and you’re not sure where to start.

You did SEO, either yourself or with an agency. Keywords, meta descriptions, a blog. It worked well enough. Then the results page filled up with answers, people stopped clicking, and AI tools started describing you to people who never visit your website.

A marketing manager put it to us last month: “My SEO knowledge is good, but it sort of stopped pre-AI. So I feel like I’m a bit behind the times now.” Most people are.

The impact

You’re being described by tools you’ve never checked.

Before

Everything you’ve been told to do was written for a results page that doesn’t exist any more.

  • You’ve got nothing for it to pull from. If your positioning isn’t clear and consistent online, these tools fill the gap with whatever they can find, which is usually generic and sometimes wrong.
  • Your content ranks and does nothing. Written for keywords rather than for a decision, so it gets found by people who were never going to buy.
  • You’re producing more and getting less. Volume was the old answer. It doesn’t work now, and it’s exhausting your team.

After

You know what the tools say about you, and they say the right thing.

  • Fix what they’re reading. Your positioning, said clearly and consistently in the places these tools look.
  • Content is written for a decision, not a search volume. It ranks and it converts, rather than one or the other.
  • Measure what matters. Baseline first, then enquiries by source, not impressions.

What we do about it

How we get you found

In this order, because each one depends on the one before it.

01

Find out where you actually stand.

The AI visibility audit: what the tools say, who they name instead, and which sources they cite. Two weeks, £2,800 + VAT.

02

Fix what they’re reading.

Your positioning, said clearly and consistently in the places these tools look. The part almost nobody is doing.

03

Build content around decisions.

Clusters that answer one buyer’s real question properly, so they connect instead of sitting there separately.

04

Measure what matters.

Baseline first, then enquiries by source, not impressions. We re-run the audit at eight weeks.

Why this works now

  • We check what AI says about you first. Then fix it. Everything else is guesswork until you know.
  • Content is written for a decision, not a search volume. It ranks and it converts, rather than one or the other.
  • It’s built on your positioning. Same audiences and value pillars as the website, so it all points the same way.

FAQs

Your questions, answered

Is SEO still worth doing?

Yes, and more of it matters than people think. Google still sends most of the traffic and AI tools build their answers largely from what ranks. What’s changed is that ranking is no longer the finish line, because a good position on a page nobody clicks earns nothing. The work is the same discipline pointed at two systems instead of one.

What is AEO or GEO, and is it different from SEO?

They’re names for optimising to be cited in AI answers rather than ranked in a list. The mechanics overlap heavily with good SEO: be clear about what you do, be consistent about it everywhere, and get mentioned on sites that aren’t your own. The differences are worth knowing but nobody needs a separate discipline for it, which is why we do both together.

Why has our traffic dropped even though our rankings haven’t?

Usually zero-click. Google answers the question on the results page and the user never arrives, so impressions hold up while clicks fall. Check the gap between the two in Search Console over the last year. If impressions are flat and clicks are down, that’s what’s happening, and the answer is being the source that gets cited rather than chasing the position.

How long does SEO take to work?

Months, not weeks, and anyone promising faster is either lucky or lying. Technical fixes can move things quickly. Content and authority take a quarter or more to compound. The AI visibility audit is the exception, because it tells you where you stand in two weeks, which is why we usually start there.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No, and nobody credible does. What we agree upfront is what we’re measuring and what the baseline is, so you can see what moved. What we report is enquiries and where they came from, not impressions and positions.

How much does SEO cost?

Quoted per business, because it depends on the size of the site and how much of the groundwork exists. The AI visibility audit is fixed at £2,800 + VAT and is often the cheapest way to find out what you’re dealing with before committing to anything ongoing.
