It’s official – on the 11th October we’ll be defending our title as holders of the Creative and Digital Agency of the year and fighting to protect our position. In the orange corner – it’s a new, expanded and more determined Squibble team (that’s 1 member up on last year), and in the blue corner, we’re facing off against 4 contenders.
2018 – A year of ups, expansions and major contract wins
Our year in cold, hard, figures…
Over the course of 2018, our turnover has grown by over 60%. Question is, how did we do it?
Here’s how…
We took on a new team member – Meet Karn, our researcher and designer
Karn has major love for branding, animation and graphic design. A versatile creative, he’s bought even more motivation and ambition into the Squibble studio, with specialities in user experience and research (and, truth be told, he also makes an exceptional round of drinks).
We won our biggest contract yet
In September 2017, we won the DfE-funded Governor Space project – a website that today serves as a hub offering free professional development, peer-to-peer and Mentor Support, self‑evaluation tools and useful resources for education organisations UK-wide.
The mission? To…“aid governing bodies in the process of achieving a step change in the quality of governance.”
Approaching us for logo design, brand identity, UX design and website design, we went all in with a bold, contemporary design, with many wireframes and prototypes to shape and develop the presentation of a complex content structure.

And you know what? They LOVED it…
“We’re so pleased with the design and development work Squibble have achieved. We were working to a tight deadline and the whole process ran smoothly. The platform we have now has been great success and will allow us to expand into new markets in the future.”

We applied our own brand of magic – on our own branding
January – it’s always a good time for a fresh start, so we thought that it was high-time for a shake-up of our own website and branding. By focusing on our portfolio and the great work we’ve done for exceptional brands, we like to think that our position as a leading branding and web dev studio is cemented.
So, that’s 12 months at Squibble, in a nutshell. It’s been quite the year. Next stop? The City of Birmingham Business Awards 2018 – and we hope that we’ll have your backing, just like we did last year, to retain the title of Digital & Creative Business of the Year 2018.
