A Strategic Refresh for Entrust’s School Platform

In 2017, we partnered with Entrust to launch the original Gov Space platform — a digital tool used by 5,000+ schools across the UK to manage key aspects of their operations. Built with clarity and function in mind, it has stood the test of time and become a core part of Entrust’s school services.

1. Using UX to future-proof Entrust’s offer

By 2025, the platform was still stable, still used daily, and still delivering value. Entrust weren’t looking for a brand-new system. But the environment had shifted: user expectations had grown, design standards had evolved and insights from live use were being gathered every day. Entrust had an opportunity to develop the platform even further to strengthen their position in the marketplace.

2. Redesigned from the ground up

All user types were redesigned using insights from real user behaviour. More than 50 screens were created to cover every scenario across three core user groups, ensuring the platform works seamlessly for everyone who relies on it.

We didn’t just redesign screens — we created a complete design system to guide the build. This gave the development team everything they needed to keep the platform consistent, cut down on rework and speed up delivery. By having reusable components and clear standards, Entrust can now evolve the platform more efficiently, saving time and money long after launch.
