Bold city-wide branding.
Be Bold Be Birmingham is the campaign Birmingham City Council launched to promote the city hosting the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
This was a huge honour for the city, and they needed their
own branding to promote the event. Lots of it. They called Squibble.

Eye-catching design
Be Bold came to Squibble for our creative ideas! And that's exactly what they got! Bold, colourful, eye-catching - anymore to add to the mix?
Custom assets
On top of the colourful, quirky design we gave them, we also converted the assets into digital and printed content.
Fast turnaround
The project only took a few zoom meetings and the Squibble team got to designing, presenting and polishing off the designs within only a couple of weeks.
Building on the team’s idea
Birmingham City Council wanted to create an open-source campaign to engage businesses and people around Birmingham. They approached us with initial artwork – but it still needed work. We collaborated with their marketing team to bring everything together quickly.

Be bold
The idea? An asset pack for each of Birmingham’s surrounding areas to unite all the regions in support of the games, not just the city centre. We developed artwork based on their detailed brand guidelines. However, the aim was always to dial-up the bold in line with the campaign message – so we went big on vibrant colours and distinctive hand-drawn artwork.

A bold look for tax consultants The world of accountancy branding has a common aesthetic. It tends toward the grey and self-serious end of the spectrum. And yet, the teams at these companies are often full of personality. That’s what we found when working with the senior team at Woodshires. So, we put that personality on the page.
